Lisa Casey is a single mother of three, working towards getting her degree in education. The idea of this toy came during a car ride with her daughter. They were discussing the idea of a new toy and combined the ideas of the color concept of stacking rings (the aspect of each ring size being a different color), block patterns and boards (the aspect of copying and creating patterns), and a shape-sorting toy (the aspect of putting a shape into an opening).
